On the Density Function on Moduli Spaces of Toric 4-manifolds

چکیده
The optimal density function assigns to each symplectic toric manifold M a number 0 < d ≤ 1 obtained by considering the ratio between the maximum volume of M which can be filled by symplectically embedded disjoint balls and the total symplectic volume of M . In the toric version of this problem, M is toric and the balls need to be embedded respecting the toric action on M . The goal of this note is first to give a brief survey of the notion of toric symplectic manifold and the recent constructions of moduli space structure on them, and then recall how to define a natural density function on this moduli space. Then we review previous works which explain how the study of the density function can be reduced to a problem in convex geometry, and use this correspondence to to give a simple description of the regions of continuity of the maximal density function when the dimension is 4.

Moduli spaces of toric manifolds
We construct a distance on the moduli space of symplectic toric manifolds of dimension four. Then we study some basic topological properties of this space, in particular, connectedness, compactness and completeness. The construction of the distance is related to the DuistermaatHeckman measure and the Hausdorff metric. While the moduli space, its topology and metric, may be constructed in any di...
متن کاملOn the Connectedness of the Moduli Space of Calabi–Yau Manifolds
We show that the moduli space of all Calabi–Yau manifolds that can be realized as hypersurfaces described by a transverse polynomial in a four dimensional weighted projective space, is connected. This is achieved by exploiting techniques of toric geometry and the construction of Batyrev that relate Calabi–Yau manifolds to reflexive polyhedra. Taken together with the previously known fact that t...
متن کاملCounting Generic Genus–0 Curves on Hirzebruch Surfaces
Hirzebruch surfaces Fk provide an excellent example to underline the fact that in general symplectic manifolds, Gromov–Witten invariants might well count curves in the boundary components of the moduli spaces. We use this example to explain in detail that the counting argument given by Batyrev in [Bat93] for toric manifolds does not work (also see [Sie99, Proposition 4.6]).

We prove that small blow-ups or reverse flips (in the sense of the minimal model program) of rational symplectic manifolds with trivial centers create Floer-non-trivial Lagrangian tori. We give examples of explicit mmp runnings and descriptions of Floer non-trivial tori in the case of toric manifolds, polygon spaces, and moduli spaces of flat bundles on punctured two-spheres (moduli of paraboli...
